The image below shows a 12 cubic metre skip bin (4.0 X 2.0 X 1.5 m) that was hired for rubbish removal at a site in Kensington in Melbourne Victoria.
12 cubic metre skip bins have the following dimensions:
- 4.0 metres long;
- 2.0 metres wide; and
- 1.5 metres high.
12 cubic metre bins are suited to projects where there is a fairly significant amount of waste or rubbish to remove such as occurs on commercial construction sites, demolition sites or significant domestic renovation projects.
Do note however, that skip bins that come from demolition, construction or renovation sites are often over weight (eg. filled with steel, bricks, concrete or dirt) and thus may incur additional charges to you, the hirer.

- Over filled and over weight skip bins and bins filled with inappropriate materials such as food, oil, paint, liquid waste or asbestos
- 1.5% surcharge for credit card payments
